Nelson believes there is a place in soccer for every player, no matter their skill level or where they are in their development. As a program director and coach with New Haven Youth Soccer, his calm and encouraging personality makes him a strong advocate for his players. Being bilingual also allows Nelson to connect with and support families who may face language barriers, making sure they feel welcomed and part of the soccer community.
