New Haven Youth Soccer is always looking for quality coaches and managers who are committed to our program. If you, or anyone you know, believe you would be a good fit for a position with NHYS we encourage you to fill out the application packet for the area you are interested in. NHYS is a nonprofit, volunteer run organization committed to the promotion and advancement of youth soccer in New Haven Connecticut. We provide a place for boys and girls in Kindergarten through 12th grade to learn the game of soccer and to have fun.
Programs Offered
Learn to Play is for children ages 4 to 12. Recreational soccer is fun, relaxed, and a solid introduction to soccer skills. The program is priced to encourage all children to play, and financial aid is available for families that qualify.
The Middle School League is a unique opportunity for middle school children from grades 5 through 8. Many of the teams represent local middle schools, and NHYS has one team organized for children whose middle schools do not have an organized team. The league is co-ed, and games are held on Saturdays with practices being held once a week during the week.
The Travel League is a competitive league designed for experienced kids. Teams are usually chosen through a try-out in the spring and they practice twice a week with games played throughout New Haven County on weekends. Travel Head Coaches are compensated for their work. Head Coaches who choose, and have the abilities to do so, can also serve as their Team Managers. Some Head Coaches opt not to become a Team Manager and we invite interested individuals to apply.
