Please remember to use only one account per family. If you are registering an returning player, a player please use the SAME USER ID as was used in the past.

If you wish to make changes to your information or to add a Proof of Age (copy of a birth certificate or passport) or update a picture (headshot only) log on to your family account.

Logon is available in the upper right hand corner of this web-page.

Your account will be used for all current and future registrations.

Please be sure to set the account up with the email address that you use most often; one account per family. If you forget your password you can always request a new one on the Log In page.

Recreation Soccer: May 2024

For players who wish to participate in a low-key fun environment without traveling outside of New Haven, Recreation Soccer is here for you!

In this group everyone practices as a pool team

For Clinics: Kids participate in practice/play on Monday nights for a total of four weeks/4 sessions.

Program begins Monday May 6, 2024 and runs until May 27, 2024.

For Pick Up Games: Kids participate in games facilitated and managed by NHYS. Whomever shows up will play. This is co-ed, ages 8-14.

Program begins Friday May 3, 2024 and runs until May 24, 2024

Please note that there are no requirements for attendance or participation. It is normal for kids to miss some practices because of school and family commitments, as well as other activities. We do ask that families tell coaches if they expect to miss a game, so that the coach can plan accordingly.

Specifics:

All players are welcome to join. Recommended age breakdown is shown by both times.

Whomever shows up at each session will be broken down in to mini groups.

All sessions will be held East Shore Park, Field #3, 360 Woodward Avenue, New Haven.

Travel Soccer: Spring 2024

Travel teams focus on continuing a player's development by progressing foot skills; team building, technical and tactical understanding, cooperation, creativity, spatial awareness and spatial problem solving. Travel teams target the more serious players; those that are interested in a higher level of competition and commitment.

All players who register for travel will automatically be registered for indoor practice sessions beginning in February 2024 and will run until the outdoor season starts. There will be no additional charge for travel players to practice indoor with their team.

We believe in teaching children in a way that shows a natural progression as they explore and become more involved with soccer. Within the travel program our club will seek to reinforce its 'Player Curriculum' to instill technical skills, the value of sportsmanship, rules of the game, ball mastery, individual creativity, a positive team experience, importance or exercise and nutrition and technical and tactical soccer awareness.

Our travel player curriculum works to provide a clear and concise plan of player development with the goal being to effective use of our training time to build, innovate and create a sound player.

Technical: the skills and techniques required for soccer. Including use of both feet and mastering fundamentals.
Tactical: The decision making and problems solving aspects of soccer.
Physical: The endurance, agility, speed, coordination, power and balance needed for soccer.
Mental: The discipline, leadership, pride and trust essential for match conditions.
Nutrition: The review of healthy lifestyle food choices that help build a healthy child

These also nurture a love for the game and build character. Our club cares about the development of all of our teams and our curriculum is specifically designed to develop our players to be good citizens and sound players!
